Leonardo Hotel London Croydon, Croydon

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were a bit small and took a while to warm up, but the bathroom suite was excellent, and the hospitality was delightful. The service was a bit lacking in warmth at arrival, and there were some hiccups with efficiency and new staff, but they did inform me about the ordering process. The location was convenient, just a short walk from East Croydon rail station, although there were disturbances from other guests and external noise. The dining options were a bit pricey and not as advertised, but still better than what competitors offer. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement.

The hotel rooms were comfortable and adequately sized for two people, with tea/coffee making facilities and an iron and ironing board available. However, the absence of a fridge was a downside, and the lack of complimentary refreshments took away from the overall experience. The rooms provided enough hot water, although some additional amenities would have been appreciated.

Arriving at 2 am, the hotel was conveniently close to transport, but the room had a lingering smell of smoke and was quite bare. Despite being clean and adequate in space, the noise was bothersome. The service, however, shone with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The location near East Croydon station provided easy travel links to Central London, but practicality was lacking, especially when carrying luggage. Only experiencing one night, the dining was a mix of excellence with a crowded and noisy breakfast area needing more space. Overall, my stay had its ups and downs with some areas shining brightly and others leaving much to be desired.

The hotel is a great choice for a convenient stay near East Croydon railway station. The rooms are cozy with some nice amenities, but the noise from the heating system can be a bit bothersome. The service is friendly and accommodating, making the overall experience smooth and enjoyable.
